Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

Great detailing and a fine capture. Great camera angle really stretches out the look of this classic machine. I cannot believe the lack of noise at such a high ISO, speaks to how great digital cameras have become. You must have been working under some very poor lighting to push it that far. Great control Mac.

Good work with the photo aspect, Bill. Considering how cramped it must have been in there, the low lighting and so on, great job! We even see the cloisonné hub cap medalions you mention. Even if the camera IS modern with a lot of capacity and frills, it's the person using it who makes the adjustments, frames the subject and pushes the shutter release. This auto is sure in great shape! I also appreciate the art deco background (doors, black and silver to the left, etc.) - so very fitting for this type of car. Expecting more, Bill! And thanks again for the inside view of the Spruce Goose! :-)

I still don't know how I missed seeing this car. I mean seriously ... I didn't even know it was in the building! LOL! Tunnel vision, I suppose. That, and avoiding the annoying docent. :P I'm glad you took this fabulous picture, because this has to be an all-time favorite for me. Such gorgeous lines! Nice work, babe!

A great shot Bill, looking forward to more!

This is an awesome shot Bill. And what a fantastic car, built like a tank they were then. I also like that colour as well. Over here up until the 60's every car was black. But then isn't that what Henry Ford said "You can have any colour as long as it's black"

Fantastic shot - love the POV that accentuates the size of this classic car & all those great reflections. I can even see you taking the photo...

Very nice capture Bill.

Superb POV in this pic of the classic, adorned magnificently with beautiful color, blends, reflections and clarity, Bill. Headlights typical of 1938, especially on GM autos. They sure don't make 'em like they used to.
