How nice to have a photography companion! :) Cola seems quite patient. While you take pictures, she probably figures that's the perfect time for a good scratch! :P

Beautiful composition to this shot.

Dogs make good photographer companions. None of this "What on earth are you taking a photo of THAT for?" . Just acceptance and patience in the main. I love this pic. How Cola has grown!

The golden trees against the mist is a powerful image; beautifully accented by your little friend. Wonderful capture!

The path beckons and disappears into the mist. Magical and mysterious. The color of the fog, the quality of the light, just beautiful.

Very Nice. Aloha

Maybe Cola can also sense something else there, faraway in the mist - or has seen the movie: 'Gorillas in the Mist' (1988) with Sigourney Weaver, maybe ? only joking Nikolay, my warped sense of humour ... another fine image of your loyal friend, interesting POV - did you climb up a tree ? BB

A single creature surrounded by deep dark greens and fog. The light is all from the background. And in the clearing, Cola is immersed in something far away (the presence of distant dog, as you say). You captured a private moment, but your far enough away that we don't intrude. The scene remains intact, unbroken. Its 'sacredness' remains whole. Something sacred about a shot like this, something holy...not religiously, just inner-ly. Sacred space. You captured all that without trespassing any of it. You gave it to us whole, un-invaded. Beautiful loving shot, Nikolay.

I love the charm this image has! Dogs are such charming people, after all...though I know a few cats who might say otherwise, but the cats in question take a particular pride at being contrary, and so it's probably best to not listen to everything they say. And so, while ignoring a few very particular cats, I'll just go on and say that this is a stunning, and--yes--elegant image. I love the overall composition and the way that Cola figures so prominently, but not in an overpowering way. She's guiding my eye into the fog: I want to see what she sees, though she's probably more likely to smell and hear something, since dogs can smell and hear in ways that put nice dents in the human ego. She is growing up quickly, and she seems like the perfect photographic assistant. I'll bet she approves of this photo too! I love that fog and the way it does seem to carry the light with it. There's a kind of poetry to this image.
