Description

Captured 10/14/13, very early morning, about 1.06 miles from home. Most ZOOM worthy. Since you all enjoyed my previously submitted "A boy with his sailboat," I decided to return to the scene of the crime and take shots of the other individuals at the fountain. The lighting wasn't the best at that time but that's the way it goes. I also took other POVs of the boy and his sailboat, which I will post later. When I say scene of the crime I literally mean just that. In order for me take this foto, I had to gingerly negotiate around restricted ground cover, being careful not to step on the lovely flowers so I could get a good vantage point for taking photos of the static individuals involved. All this despite signs posted stating not to step where I did, plus signs posted stating that I was being video taped, in order to prevent vandalism. I believe the powers-at-be are most sensitive since some feral youth(s) decided to dump laundry detergent into the fountain, creating a huge bubbly mess. I even have pictures of that outrage. Anyway, after taking my pics, I made a fast exit. No way was I going to be rubber truncheoned. Ciao.

How daring of you to step where no law-abiding citizen would step in pursuit of this photo, Harry. And what an excellent one it is! The lighting appears perfect, but as you say it wasn't I can only assume it's your postworking skills that have wrought this miracle. What a very cool statue! Well done, my friend!

If you said the lighting was not good; It appears you fixed that with postwork. The lighting here is fantastic. I hope this kid does not trip over his shoe laces. Good Job!
