Description
The Lifeboat station in Whitby, North Yorkshire. On top of the hill is the Church of St. Mary's, Whitby.
Bram Stoker used St Mary's Church graveyard as the setting for a scene in his novel, Dracula. The town is visited by many Goths as a result.
This one is for you Di, (Rainbow) , She will know this town very well as she lives in the next village on the coast heading Southward. :)
Thanks for taking a peek, Rob

Thanks for the location! I looked at the map and got on street view, and was able to discover that you were standing rather between hot dogs and ice cream on the opposite side. What fun! Thanks for a most enjoyable romp through the maps. :)

This has it all, boats, seagulls, a quaint village with a beautiful old church. Your shot is rich in detail. There is a small town here on the Washington coast that draws the "Twilight" people. Vampires and werewolves..

OH! What a lovely shot of this interesting little town. Is it the same town, that was mentioned in the old TV series Heartbeat? I loved that series :)

Such an interesting photo this is, Rob. (I too searched for this place on the Internet ;-).) It's amazing how many different buildings you have captured on your image, and all is so very clear too. So, Dracula was there, LOL! Don't know what Goths are, but that I have to look up on the Internet as well, I guess.
