Description

The Lifeboat station in Whitby, North Yorkshire. On top of the hill is the Church of St. Mary's, Whitby. Bram Stoker used St Mary's Church graveyard as the setting for a scene in his novel, Dracula. The town is visited by many Goths as a result. This one is for you Di, (Rainbow) , She will know this town very well as she lives in the next village on the coast heading Southward. :) Thanks for taking a peek, Rob

It is a fantastic photo and zoom on this working section of Whitby. Lots of lobster or crab cages up in the wharf. Are those the famous steps coming down from St Mary's Church? A wonderful all around capture!

They are indeed the steps to the church and beyond to the ruined abbey of St. Hilda, thank you for your lovely comment
