Hi, I'm Andrea, and I'm interested in creatures and plants both wild and tamed, and people of all sorts. I only use a compact digital camera ,as I love being able to get it into a back pocket, and not have to cart heavy kit about. I carry a Panasonic Lumix TZ series, binoculars and a hand lens almost everywhere. Most of my outings are with the dogs so I only use point and shoot.
I am getting the hang of Photoshop, thanks to some very kind folk on RR!
I have a wildlife garden in Bournemouth, Dorset, in the UK, and spend a lot of time there . I retired from teaching art to teenagers a while ago.
I'm now getting some good results with my digi compacts; it took me a while to make the switch from my old film camera, an 1960 ish Pentax Spotmatic, but the mistakes are much cheaper!
I have 4 lodgers, 3 dogs and a parrot who, as at 2017, I have had 40 years.
I has so far had 19 dogs, mostly rescues.

What's important is that he had a good life, Dear Andrea... you gave him all you could and you tried your best to save him. I understand completely what you mean about how it feels to lose a doggy. I also lost mine not too long ago, but have taken in yet another one, which now brings me to three. All of them so unique and individual with their personalities... that you really do have to move on and see to it that the rest are loved and not neglected. A beautiful dog, Buster, you had! Such lovely markings and he does look rather happy trotting along. You are a fine, and strong lady, my Friend! hugs

I'm sorry... It seems to have been a nice dog, judging by the picture...

I shall miss all the pictures and news of Buster. He was such a gentle soul, ruled his pack with kindness, and loves everyone he met. He was marvelous at his job, and a great companion not only to you, but so many of us here at Rendo, even though we didn't bet to snuggle with him as you have. He leaves a great legacy, and lives on in many hearts.
