You might spot me at Kirra Beach, the South-Eastern end of the Gold Coast, Australia,  if you like beach walking like myself... but there is more ! My son Jeff (*jif3d*, here at Rendo, it helps to advertise, ooops)... he took this pic of me in 2000, then manipulated it in photo-shop and it's still one of my favourites. Just very briefly about my past... *born in East Prussia; *grew up in Berlin, West Germany; *migrated to "OZ" in 1960, (not the Wizard of Oz) but...AUSTRALIA ! I guess  I was more into '2D' since early childhood, and thinking that my son Jeff may have inherited some of my artistic skills, because he translated them into '3D'. I am hooked on photography, since I discovered cameras... that's it in a nutshell. BTW - one of my fav.quotes.... ** I cannot give you the formula for success, but I can give you the formula for failure - which is trying to please everybody !**                                              that's a wrap... Cheers Brigitte.

Thank you so much Brigitte. She is quite attractive. All I was ever offered when I visited were cravings of demons and birds and little men with gigantic phalluses. I was there in 1987. It seems my timing was off. Story of my life.

Such a special photo and birthday-gift for Mark, Brigitte. A lot to discover here, and you did a great job with your 'oldie', dear friend. I have in mind to sent you some pictures, hope I'll succeed soon. Big hugs, my friend, and take care!

Great image and dedication for Mark! It's very interesting to look at all the activity going on here. The man showing his art, sits among wood shavings and tools of his trade. Excellent lighting that shows well the musculature of the man asking the question and the facial expression of the man to his left. I like that man's expression a lot. It combines close concentration with a quiet calmness. There is a lot of industry in the room. Even the boy, whose attention has been captured by something to his right, seems to be a part of the industry. He may just be playing while the others work, but he is drinking in the activity of those around him too. I think my first camera was gotten by sending off two labels from a cereal box. My first roll of developed film was all of trees (or blobs, as my sisters labeled them.)
