Description

Today we took Buddy to the rehoming kennels from whence Ralph and Fritz came 5 years ago. He seemed perfectly happy about it and was remarkably good for the hour in the car! It was less traumatic than I thought, and my three seem really pleased he has gone, totally relaxed at last. Such a relief: I shan't make that mistake again, for sure! Update: Buddy was rehomed in December 2013!

Utterly sterling portrait of your now departed Buddy, who will hopefully find a more appropriate home.

Sounds like a wonderful sanctuary. I wish we had more like it here. I particularly like the 'Happy Endings' page on their web site. I found Fritz' happy ending there complete with pictures of Buster, Ralph and Hetty.

It was sad things never worked out but it was for the best. I'm sure Buddy will find a loving family with maybe kids who can afford him all the time he needs to cover the energetic aspect of his character and breed. I know it's tough to fill the space Buster has left but I guess it requires an older dog of a breed that is less energetic and can maintain the balance in the home with the other dogs... that is if you are still looking for an addition?. I notice plenty of Greyhound and Staffy breeds on the site... both suffer from bad press.. Greyhounds because people mistakenly think they are overly energetic when they are burst speed dogs and of course some can be ex racing dogs which means they can be dangerous with other pets like cats, but they have a nice temperament.. Staffy breed do require proper handling, these are powerful dogs and because they are so associated with Pitbull's people again often dismiss them solely as drug dealers accessory of choice, they do have a nice personality but must be handled correctly and not a breed for the casual owner with young kids who can be prone to innocently pulling dogs around. This breed as associated one's in full attack mode is a frightening thing but press have played it up in the past due to attacks on people.

Buddy will have a home in no time at all, just look at that precious face! Who could resist him? Your pack is much happier with all that young and boundless energy gone, and calmness again the rule of the day. Bless you and Buddy!
