Description
Battle Of Britain Piece... First of a series using Neil's aircraft so graciously offered to the community for free. I wanted a little bit of diversity in this render, so I combined RAF & RN Fleet Air Arm seconded pilots for this station scramble. 55 FAA pilots served with the RAF during the BoB. Spitfires Mk I & Mk II from Neil, every thing else is mine, from the early style accumulator for engine startup and wheel shocks to all the flight gear & uniforms. Used the Domus figure, because it has facial morphs but is still less demanding on resources than the G2, Apollo or M4. 10 figures with assorted jackets (RAF enlisted & officer jackets, BD khaki blouse & RN double breasted Jacket), trousers, foot wear, shoes, ammo boots & flight boots, Irvin Sheep Skin jacket with Irvin fighter pilot parachute, pattern 32 Mae West with morphs for further variety, type B flight helmet & 1940 Mk IV goggles correct for the BoB era. All the models were setup in poser, once rendered with shadows it was post worked in PS to add a Biggin Hills area background shot with an out of focus grass foreground to make the whole work, Finally aged to give it that period look. Thanks to all my beta testers.

Stunning!! I took the BoB DVD away with me and watched it yet again :-) This mix and match works so well, I've been giving it a go myself. I really like the 'erk' giving the pilot a hand strapping in, a great detail. The variety of wardrobe is brilliant and with 'other' kit will allow us to venture down to the Med....mmmm time to break out the sand and mid-earth paint me thinks! Thanks for the mention, always appreciated....

Great to see them altogether like this... sorry I've been a bit bogged down with other things...
