Description
Battle Of Britain, 2nd of the Series from Neil' astounding aircraft line, his Boulton Paul Defiant, supported by Erks & being crewed for a night patrol. Domus wearing very classic items from the 1940 Irvin catalogue : the Irvin Sheep Skin Jacket, the Irvin Seat Parachute & for those tightly cramped Ball Turrets, the crews wore the Irvin GQ Parasuit. Another piece of garment used by the RAF crews, both by the Fighter Command & Bomber Command. Neil's line of aircrafts comprising quite a few BoB alumni, I was left with no other choice but to try & crew them, hence my very long silence. I had no idea what I was getting into, the research was murder, but results speak for them selves. Thanks for your hard work Neil.

Great scene!... I like that you made it B&W, making it look like it a photo taken in that time!... excellently done!!

Great period image and posing Luis. This is another model Neil may have to do an update on at The Plant :)

The parasuit was not the height of sartorial elegance but a vital bit of kit in confined spaces. Another brilliant render / showcase, glad you uploaded this one, a less glamorous tool in the toolbox but it played it's part in the early days though better suited to the 'nights'. 'My hard work' ? a piece of cake compared to your astounding work, all your gear makes the plane look much better but thanks for the mention mate, always appreciated.......and Maxidyne may have a point.... :-)

Excellent outing for the Defiant... I'll get back to my Buffaloes sometime soon
