Description
The same shadows, captured from two different vantage points 180-degrees apart, 10/18/13, early in the morn, on the boulevard not far from home.
Most bizarre, but that's why they're fun to shoot.

It's very interesting how different they look, especially the shadow of the sign. In one shot it looks almost square and it the other a thin rectangle. It's also interesting to see the light reflected from the window in both shots. It has a very prominent role in the second shot. I notice light on surfaces a lot in the second shot. The light glimmers on the sidewalk, defines the bricks and textures on the walls, and glows in the street. In the presence of all these qualities of light, the shadows are more insubstantial, lighter with more blurred edges. In the first image they stand dark and with sharper lines. I like the composition of the first one, with long lines and your shadow stretched tall on the left. I also like the bright golden orange of the fire hydrant. Excellent shots! Very cool each, in it own right, and very interesting seen together.

Isn't it fascinating how the angle of the sun and the height of the street sign and hydrant interact to produce such disparate shadows? Well captured, Harry, and methinks I spot the shadow of a photographer in one...
