I wonder whether I should complement the face (shadows and couelurs). Thank you for your advice and I hope you enjoy it. Pencils, pens and paints on white paper 24x30. Thanks for visiting my gallery yesterday, I haven't made the time to comment, post in months... seeing a comment in my emails gave me a smile yesterday - thanks.... I like this piece you did here, the hair edge by the neck and chin gives it a feel of hair, like a stray hair - like by the forehead. The blurred black boarder I didn't catch at first, but I like it.... your name on the chest though made me think of chest hair - interesting placement.

I think I like it as is. If you add shadows and colors, then it takes it away from the minimalist art it is. You could do another of the same piece with shadows and color!

Your use of varying colors to delineate is so cool! It really drew (no pun intended) the background lighthouse directly into the foreground.
