Description
A stark departure from my regular leaf pictures, captured 11/13/13, very early morning, on the sidewalk outside of my condominium complex.
Although the leaves are the same, I'm disappointed that Renderosity didn't depict the intense contrast of light and dark in the lines of the sidewalk as in the original. Flickr doesn't have that problem.

I can easily see those dark/light lines in zoom, Harry; I can almost feel them under my bare feet, that rough cement surface I remember from my childhood. Excellent detail on the wrinkles and bruised surfaces of the leaves too; all in all a wonderful crisp capture!

"something as simple as leaves and you have turn them into beautiful!" (Shaylea, above)---she got it. That's your gallery. With Denise, I can see the lines and details too, but I'm sure they're more vivid in your original; and yes, RR restrictions do take away various details of our uploads, even in the zoomed version. But what we see here is still scintillating and so textured---it's almost like a Japanese print, in its simplicity of subject, its single direction of lines (going up and on a slight angle), its sharp contrasts, and seeing 'haiku' in each leaf, as if each were a piece of poetry...Then, it all begins an inch or so from the bottom of the shot---I like that!---and it unfolds a set of very sharp shadows, very sharp lines, beautiful greens and yellows, and moves from dark (on the right) to increasingly bleached light (on the left)---another good choice. Again, minimal in content, maximal in everything else (texture, contrast, etc). I could see a whole wall of these, turning a room into a symphony of form and music in the simplest things. Striking and beautiful. Another triumph. Harry I have to stop for now (I need to sleep more), but I'll be back for more. And I'll be posting your birthday dedi on time, this year. (If there's any delay, I'll let you know, but I'm counting on it.) It's always great to comment here.
