Description
In a far-off galaxy there are several solar systems not dissimilar to the earth's, and they do support life--intelligent life too. The life forms aren't too very different from humans of earth; in appearance they are quite similar to the human, however, they ARE different. The most distinguishing features of these life forms, other than all of them--without exception--are highly intelligent, is that they can communicate telepathically, and they never engage in wars or other forms of hostility towards one another. This probably explains why they have been able to reach such highly evolved societies. The life forms of these solar systems have reached Level 3 in social and evolutionary traits. Here on earth, humans haven't even reached Level 1; and, when one considers the human war-like, greedy nature, it is very doubtful they will ever reach Level 1 since it is not unlikely humans will destroy themselves and all life forms around them before Level 1 has a possibility of being attained.
One of the customs found among these cultures is trading the most desirable young woman and men--they are gifted among the leaders of these planets. This tradition has a scientific basis--new genes are introduced into the societies with each trade. This helps maintain genetic strength and integrity. Sometimes it does backfire, but so infrequently that no one actually pays any attention to the failures.
Here we see one of those gifts, a beautiful young female who has been transported in a cryonic capsule--since the trip takes many years, transporting individuals in this manner keeps them from aging and in good health. Her monkey "Pet" jealously watches over her as the transporting fluid is slowly drained from the container...
Stand back. I wouldn't go near that monkey! He has a most nasty bite.
Thanks for dropping by...hope you enjoyed your visit...

An interesting tale Barb. One would think though that someone would clean up the cryo-chamber every few weeks or so. Just sayn'.
goldie
This poor creature has been enclosed in this chamber for a very long time, probably years. One can never quite imagine what little treasures she has contributed to the fluid over that time. What we see is the emptying of the chamber upon her arrival at her destination. I am certain that the living souls of this planet will clean out the chamber after she has been discharged from the receiving area.

Oh, you do sci-fi so very well. It eludes me completely, so I'm impressed when I see it done well. Wow....just a very interesting, well-done image. Love the monkey, and as I was reading, I was wondering how a monkey could survive such a long journey....thus the robot. So cool.

This is an instant favorite for me... the atmosphere and lighting are perfect for the setting. I like the backstory and agree with the idea that we will never attain much more than what we have managed so far. I can see the day, soon, when our technology will completely drown our ability to keep up intellectually and we will cease to exist.
