My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

A desert forest. Certainly very different from home in the Northwest. A lovely, edifying photo.

Great photo. I love the desert. Spent some time around Yuma visiting abandoned gold mines. Loved it. Rick

Now, that's really cool - what an amazing landscape, and the Joshua trees are too cool! One of my Rendo friends lives close to Joshua tree - I see why she loves it so much. An outstanding shot, Tara!

These produce edible fruit so you could say this is a wild orchard. Nice capture.

Looking at these I may need a taller greenhouse, and If you think these are spiky you should try repotting Agaves.

Thank you for sharing this desert landscape. It has been years since I last saw it in person and I do think it is so beautiful.

Isn't it a beautiful landscape with all those trees as far as you can see? I spent a lot of time over the years driving through that area as we spent summer vacations at Lake Havasu when I was a teenager in Southern California. It's a totally different scene than we have up here, isn't it? Fantastic capture, Tara!

There you go again. And I still have not dug out that U2 CD :)
