My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

It's a really big silver one with lots of rivets. :-D A very cool POV, Tara! You certainly do have a way of making art out of anything you point your lens at!

I was going to say it looked like one of those tin ceilings that were popular about 80 years ago. Perhaps in the home of an aircraft mechanic. I see what you mean about the patterns. This is quite artistic in its way. Nice shot and good eye.
durleybeachbum
Brilliant! And SO much more interesting than the vehicle in its entirety.
jayfar
Fascinating and thanks for saying what it is.

I knew right away it had to be an aircraft or a bridge with all those rivets, and bridge rivets are done differently. Nice 'color' shot!
ronmolina
Ahhh! The rivets of a plane! Nice shot!
FredNunes
Very cool. Nicely seen, ir does make for a great image! :-)

Awesome artistic license on this! And I can definitely see the color in it. The reflections of color actually give it a sky-like quality as if it is a grey clouded sky with a bit of sunset colors and we are looking out through a window with a decor pattern on it. I even see a water reflection at the bottom. A very fun photo to use one's imagination on. Thanks for sharing.

It's an intergalactic colonization ship, outer hull section 43b, yep. Built at the Daraian ship yards,

Brava!!!!!! This is absolutely perfect, the angle of the shot, the composition, the subtle colours, EVERYTHING!! Well done!

Nice shot Tara. I figured it was the underside of an Air Stream Motor home. LOL
Rob2753
Fantastic shot I love the abstract look it gives the image, it looks as though that wing has seen a few hours in the air too looking at the corrosion on some of the rivet heads :)
helanker
HA! It looks like it was made of the last many little pieces that was left to build with :D But what do I know ? :P Mighty fine shot. :)

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm, I know that style of riveting. Typical of the mid to late 1930s/early 1940s. I see why "Rosie the Riveter" was essential to winning the war. You remind me once again that I see an airplane museum differently than you do. I am just a wee bit jealous:)
jocko500
real cool looking
moochagoo
Great POV and abstract :)
