Description

These spectacular seed containers are so beautiful, but I have to try to get rid of them before the fruit opens and fills the garden next year with this alien and inedible invader. Each seed makes an enormous plant three or four feet high and the same wide! They arrived in my garden via a seed packet that was meant to contain the edible Physalis: I have never trusted Thompson and Morgan since! See another Here

It's beautiful, and the light is gorgeous. I'll enjoy it with no guilt, knowing I don't have to yank them out myself. :P Wonderful photography!

It looks very much like my favourite fruit Physalis but the pod is different, these grow from fruit bought at the supermarket.

Love this meticulously created abstract version of a starfish, Andrea. Capital display of gridwork, contrast and lighting. And still yet another candidate in the Invasion of the Body Snatchers genre!

Send Thompson and Morgan a thank you letter from your friends at Renderosity. These are gorgeous and so unique. Too bad they are so much trouble.

Wonder where these plants originate from? Gorgeous seed pods! We've a few plants that have invaded here, too. One is a form of loosestrife, pretty plant, tall with a spike of flowers, but hugely invasive with nothing that eats it, no insects bother it, no animals either. So it flourishes in the wet lands and crowds out all the native plants.

Simply breathtaking, a-la-natural is best ! - but when I see something like that I get the urge to take the paintbrush out and 'improve' it ;P I must get a seed, when I come and visit (?) - they probably won't let me get through custom with it ! BB
