Description

Here is Ms Ostrich taking a lovely sand bath. It was fascinating to watch her and she was soon joined by two others. They were eventually covered in s dust cloud. They apparently do it to get rid of unwanted parasites. Taken in the Kgalagadi on my recent trip. Thank you for popping in and for your very welcome comments and favs on my last upload "Traffic Jam". Carin xx

I've seen some of our little birdies doing this, but not on this scale!! Wonderful capture, Dierbaar. You must be beside yourself with all these fantastic shots you got there!

When my siblings and I were children we would have been happy beyond measure to be able to take a "bath" by rolling around in the dirt. A wonderful capture of these truly odd creatures.
