Description

We caught this small herd of Blue Wildebeest one morning on their way from their morning drink. They are truly ugly creatures and great lion food in the Kgalagadi. I have a close-up of one that I will post soon. This is three images stitched in Photoshop. Do zoom for a better view! Thank you for popping in and for your very welcome comments and favs on my last upload "Taking a Sand bath". Carin xx

Great panorama you put together. A hard life for these beasts, some look so thin.

Put me with Andrea, Claude and Denise. I don't find them ugly in the least! I loved seeing this in zoom ... doing a pano was inspired. Brilliant shot, Dierbaar!

Americans tend to obsess on certain things and these obsessions are fed by our commercial television stations. So when the Los Angeles Zoo acquired two Wildebeests they advertised by reminding us of three of our top obsessions. The ad read "Come to the Los Angeles Zoo and see our Gnus, Weather and Sports. I saw one eaten during my long ago trip to Kenya. Sometimes I think that's the only reason they exist, to serve as dinner for the lions. They are rather charming in their ugliness.

The first time we got computers and was able to monitor a water hole on the internet, we were so thrilled to see these animals. And here you are, live and at the scene..... Nice capture. Aloha
