Description

I got this shot at the Wedge, a famous body surfing spot in Balboa, part of Newport Beach, California. This wave was about 20' and it wasn't nearly the biggest of the day. I won't call this guy crazy, but omg, you have to have some nerves of steel to get near these!! The sound was amazing.

"SURFINNNNG!" (blub-blub) They dredged out the Wedge years ago to make it safer. Imagine what this looked like back in the 1960s. This is truly an exceptional image, Marilyn. Worthy of inclusion in any magazine or gallery wall.
