Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Nice shot!

Great mood shot. The place looks abandoned. You can almost imagine the lifeguard shacks walking across the sand.

Hey????? If no one is up there in that lifeguard shack? Do you think you could...Ummmm?.....I better not say it....lol You might get in trouble climbing in there... Nice shot. Aloha

Very nice capture.

This is a thoroughly outstanding shot. The lifeguard stands fading off into the distance speak of abandonment rather than temporary absence, somehow. I think I like the gray tones of this version better than the sandy brown. Not sure why ... it just speaks to me more. Fantastic!

Really nice work. I like the POV and the atmosphere you've captured. Those lifeguard towers fading in the distance are great!

Love it! The lifeguard stands are like alien invaders!

Hey, Don't fence me in! How is that for a title? Gotta use it sometime. But I digress. Love the perspective, swing and sway of the fence, and beach atmosphere in this pic, Maz.

Lovely misty/foggy atmosphere; it does have that "party's over" kind of feeling, doesn't it? Well seen, that curving fence is marvelous!
