Description
Buried with work, but wanted to post something I've been working on. This is loosely based on a Frazetta painting. I'm creating it as spec for the convention season next year. The goal is to have several generic pieces that publishers can purchase on site rather than just placing orders.
Poser for the figure perspective, tons and tons of painting in Photoshop. Some photo reference for the rocks... but I mostly destroyed my reference as I went along:( Important lesson - don't overpaint!
Please let me know what ya think, folx. This one will be important to my sales next year.
Thanks for looking:)

I love the 'berserker' look on his face. Excellent work. I know well the inability to stop while you're ahead. Lol. ")

Very cool image. I really love the fact that you were thinking about Frazetta (a personal favorite of mine) when doing this. It is always a breath of fresh air around here to see work that is not another cookie cutter pin-up poser girl. Thank you for sharing with us! -SJ

Great job!

You definitely convey the Frazetta influence without flat-out copying him. I caught the reference before you even mentioned him. I like the idea of showing up at the con with a handful of generic pieces -- how did that work out for you?

Wow! Stunning work!

Thanks to everyone for the kind words over the years. It means a great deal to me:)
In answer to mmitchell_houston - my apologies for being a little late on this - but I'm currently the art director for Indie Game Studios, which houses Indie Board & Cards and Stronghold Games. I haven't been out of work since 2013, and most of the time I've had too much work. Thankfully;) So it worked out pretty well, I think.
