This isn't finished, but I wanted to get it out there to collect opinions. If you're not comfortable offering suggestions or negative critiques in the posts, please feel free to PM me.
Poser for face and hands - not much left of the render. Photoreference for the plants. Tons and Tons of post work in Photoshop.
I'm an illustrator by trade, so I don't do alot of art that's relative to current events. As I get time I'm trying to add a little bit here and there to my portfolio, but I'm a noob at it:)
Thanks for viewing!

The idea is great. This could so easily become a magazine cover. I don't understand the symbolism of the vegetation Washington is facing. If it isn't relevant to your personal message, that space yields a whole lot of canvass that can be put into play as far as commentary. Well done...Bravo...Exceptional work.

the vegetation is hemp... marijuana. George Washington grew hemp & would be arrested for it today. In fact, in Jamestown in 1619 it was illegal for farmers to NOT grow hemp. But, George Washington and our Founding Fathers would be arrested for many of their activities in modern times. So, the image uses hemp to focus the argument, but the "vegetation" is only a cheap trick to start a conversation. The overall intention of the image is to express how very different our current United States is from the country our Founding Fathers imagined and our ancestors fought to create. Thanks again for viewing:) Pouch

I thought the plants looked like marijuana even before I read you additional comment. The picture is very well done. Great job!

I like the general idea of it (I did not see the hemp without being prompted). The pose and lighting are okay, but I'm not a big fan of the detail on the jacket. It looks rushed compared to the rest of the image. Perhaps you cleaned this up more in later versions?

Never forget going down to where ole George signed his name supposedly on the side of a cliff in Virginia, and on the walk down the path realizing that all around us hemp was growing wild.
