An interesting capture, it so looks like the gull is sitting on a lampshade, we have one of those here at our seafront, better safe than sorry.

Oh my. Both are wonderful. I love the classic composition of this one with the cat in just the "right" place, but the light and movement and pure joy of the other one is brilliant! Looks like you had a great day at the beach. (Is there another kind?)
