Description

Another butterfly shot from that day at my friend's house. There were so many, I actually had the luxury of trying different things! Hopefully this one highlights the cute yellow colias cesonia. :)

Also known as the Southern Dogface Butterfly. It's close relative, the California Dogface Butterfly (Zerene eurydice), is the state's official insect. This is a really lovely image, especially with such a beautiful bouquet as a backdrop. The female Dogface seems a bit standoffish though.
