Description

I would have hardly noticed the dog a few hundred yards away from me unless it was running....the moral is clear. Shot by the Azov Sea, which is within a half-hour drive from Rostov. March 2012. Thank you for viewing, commenting, and faving my previous works.

Richard, we're in Russia, so it's a snow-clad sea.

Wonderful minimalist image, and yet so full of joy! It is interesting how dogs are energised by wide open spaces.

So we dont have to worry if the snow can take the running dog there, I guess :-) A very fine shot. :)

Yes, now I see the dog also smile The horizon seems to blur the lines nother. In color, the difference would be visible. But it acts like a fata morgana .... AWESOME!!

I am with 'Richardphotos' on this pic and I don't blame him for asking, it does appear like snow white sand, which we have here in abundance as well, just like this - but no snow! speaking naturally of the North-East Coast of Oz ... there is some snow and are skiing seasons here as well - but only South from us, 1000's of km far away... "dogs do - what they like best - run free!" fine image Nikolay, BB

another archetypal shot, and still very fresh. The view---familiar to me, via our Lake here---gives the feeling of arctic tundra, going on for miles into the abyss. You could have urbanity behind you (we do at our Lake, here), but when you're looking "out," the world opens up to the abyss. And what punctuates it? Well the shadow and the ice mounds, yes: The little "statements" these horizons offer us. But it's a tiny running dog. Again, you hone down to essences, and it feels as if we're noticing this for the first time. Simple and beautiful. And layered in strata...so typical of water in winter...
