Description
On a grey, overcast morning with a little mist still hanging around I spotted this lumber in a wood near where I live and could resist taking a shot, the clouds parted briefly and the few remaining leaves on the trees were highlighted by the low morning sunshine. It didn't last long and within 10 minutes the clouds covered it again, I guess that's fate :)
Thanks for taking time to look, Rob

Perfect timing. You caught the sun break...that little moment in time where the grey parted and the sun shone through. Beautiful.

if I never have to move firewood in a great quantity again, it will make me happy. makes for an outstanding subject

That is a gold mine of fuel in the northern states and lovely lighting up in the trees!

This looks like my world! LOL We've been cutting and stacking wood .....getting part of the woodland cleaned out of dead trees. (a result of old age and the drought) I love this photo.

Very interesting picture, I feel like I want to keep looking at it ! A person don't get this many comments for just an average image. Great Job, and speaks good for your D3100 Nikon.

This has a mystical air, as though magic is doing its best.. I think that is because of the colours just above the wood pile. Maybe they are going to put them all out in a neat row and then push large stones over them in time for some sort of pagan ritual, as is commonplace around these parts :)
