Description
This one goes out to Ed who's Father served with the Rats in North Africa & Italy. My Desert Rats, used Domus, My RAF gear retextured, some of my older Tommy gear. The vehicles are from Papus3D, who kindly allowed me to test his Daimler Dingo Scout Car. Except for the Bren, all the other weapons are from Panko, I used the SMLE & Webley from the HM Service. All the other gear & uniforms are mine, the one advantage to creating my own uniforms, I make up what I need as I go along, I represented the more traditional Desert Rat with the more eccentric Monty Look, corduroy trousers, suede boots & some very colourful ascots, with a mix of puttees & gaiters, I strived for accuracy even adding a bagpiper , I'm happy with the end result. thanks for looking

Thank you for the comments Daddyo. Glad you enjoyed my efforts at creating this Desert Rat scene. To answer your question, this version is strictly for Domus, I don't think they would sell, however I have been working on a version for M4, that might be available in the near future. These aren't real desert gear, the shorts & ammo boots are from my Royal Navy tropical gear, the shirt & trousers are from my RAF gear, then they were retextured. The BD gear webbing added to the other gear make it all work.

Who or what is domus

Many many interesting details. The Desert Rats are phenomenal. There are many ideas in my head to make with them. Great work, Luis. ...but first I want to make something with the RAF Gear, coming next... :-)

I really like this one, Luis. Nicely staged with great characters. I agree with AliceFromLake...a lot of great details to enjoy. Excellent work and a great showcase for your desert gear!

Thanks Tryphon for this dedication. I know my Dad would have been extremely impressed by all your hard work in recreating his old regiment. I'd love to see this stuff for M4 !
