tara calls these your "signature" pastels. Well though I've not commented on most of these, I see everything you do, and yes, these are certainly among your signature traits. But it's also a signature way of making a simple landscape seem like a vast geologic expanse. This isn't a very big tract of land, but with your detail and your pov, your angle and overview, the composition opens up into water---with those "islands" as the land gives way to sea---and it looks like a big geologic study from an aerial view. I like that you gave only a little sky at top---just enough for balance: It lets the water and land have the greatest voice. Very fine capture of the language of inlets, water, clumps of land and grass, etc. With a dramatic pov.
