I've been using Poser and Daz for a while now, but I still feel like a newbie. I like the potential of being able to animate and create your own scenes. The creative effort appeals to me on so many levels. You're only limited by your own imagination, drive and creativity.
I'm a storyteller, so basically I want to use Poser to create the stories that I want to tell, so my interest is more in modeling and posing than Animation. I'm trying to keep myself focused on that.

Yeah, I really liked how they came out. Though next time, I'm going to do a little more work in Zbrush to see if I can get a little better results from the dresses. mesh smoothing makes for some hideous moments. Whenever possible I turn it off so that it doesn't try to do anything wonky. I like to try to get them to look as natural as I can but it can be a trade off sometimes.

Great job and good storytelling on all your pieces. Nice to read about a pictures backstory when looking at it. Well done.

I find that I don't do my best work unless I have a backstory in mind --even if it's just a little one. These guys are a bit different. Mike and Paris have a whole story unto themselves which makes it pretty easy for me to do something when it comes to them. Actually, "The Second Coming of Mike" is the beginning of their story. This picture is a vignette from near the end of their story. The two are actually the main characters in a prequel to a science fiction story that I wrote the first draft of a couple of years ago. They're the grandparents of the protagonist of that story, making Mike his grandmother. As I was writing it --I realized that the main character needed to have more of an origin that explained his unique gifts and how they came to be. What started off as a minor reference in that story took on a life of it's own. This is part of that result. Doing these images really helps me find my motivation.
