Description
I'm doing 3 or 4 galleries a day, and loving it!
I'll get to you all before the year's out...
In the meantime, here's, quite frankly, one of the great animal drawings of our time. I'm not exaggerating. For those of you who do lots of animal-art---Denise and Carol for example, who have whole catalogs of glorious animal art---don't despair: If you work really hard, you may get this good. (I say "may" because, well, life's short. You can aspire, though...)
Hope you're having a fine week, and stay warm!
Mark
(Added Later: I'm joking about the quality of the image!
It's a little sketch, and I was joking about Denise and Carol "aspiring" to its level---I would love to do animal work half as good as theirs!
It's just a cartoon, but hope you like it anyway!)

Brilliant! I love the batness of this caught so engagingly and sparely. I an envious of anyone who can do this, Mark! A minmal masterpiece! And, thankyou for all those fab essays under my pics!

Yes, it was the overall batness of this that struck me immediately. Not easily done! My drawn bats are just two or three lines connected, even more minimal than this, but with very much less batness about them! I am in awe here... ;D

Oh such a happy little bat. Something very fun, goofy and carefree about this little creature. I can only dream of one day achieving such greatness. :o)

Stunning, Mark, stunning. You have put even John James Audubon to shame with this most magnificent and precise sketch of the smiling bat. There is nothing in all of the annals of animal art that can even approach this dazzling effort. Well done!

We had a bat in our shed this summer, and it looked exactly like this! It dive-bombed Bill one day as he was getting a shovel or something. You can ask him about it ... :D LOVE the nose, and the ears. (I sound like my niece Brittany, when upon getting her first dog she decided she had to call me and tell me all about it. (She was about three, if I recall correctly.) It was a white dog with a black tipped tail. She called, breathless, to tell me, "Auntie Auntie I got a DOG!! And ... and ... it has a nose ... and a TAIL!!)

I've always loved these little sketches of yours; they're simple, yet fun and whimsical; this one is no exception. And, of course, one could always say, "batter up!!" or not!!

As soon as I saw this bat, I knew, this must be a masterpiece :) Stunningly beautifully craftsmanship, I'm lost for words and can only just sit here in admiration! (LOL) What a fine humor you have, Mark, I envy you for that, and for your incredible craftsmanship too, of course! Thank you for the big big smile, this bat will follow me through a day or two.
