Description

One of the things that is interesting about humans is how we never seem content with "stock" and always end up tinkering and adjusting. Space craft seems to be no exception. For each ship that was designed for a specific purpose, there always seems to be someone who's got something slightly different in mind, and the willingness to see how to make that work. Here a ship that was designed mainly to be used for prospecting asteroid and comets has been altered, perhaps only temporarily, to operate as a cargo-carrier, hauling modular containers to a small asteroid. Likely a resupply effort or perhaps to haul useful materials from the asteroid to wherever there's a buyer. ------------- Ship and asteroid were made in Bryce, largely with my own textures, although a few of the "flat" textures are presets. This started out as just goofing off, but ended up more of a struggle than I anticipated. Still, I like the over all design concept, and will likely adapt it for some other purpose myself.

Another fantastic ship, Mike! And of course your skill with creating these space scenes makes the perfect showcase. You could make a fortune packaging these ships as 3D models.

Nice! Of course you'll modify it later, as will the owners of the ship...
