Description

Santa's blue Christmas dream A nearly clean VUE render with a little postwork :) You may wish to zoom to enjoy the details. Inspiration from two sources. From Christmas itself... But also from fantastic duet i bumped into, when i was browsing for a Christmas song to accompany the image. It is a duet with Elvis Presley and Celine Dion. Despite the fact that Elvis died when Celine was 9 years old... Technology brought them together in this fantastic video and song. The song is called: If i can dream. The lyrics has a lot of noble Christmas wishes.. Love and peace amongst humans, are a few of them, just to mention... The lyrics are written by Walter Earl Brown in the 60s. With deep inspiration from Martin Luther King JR's legendary speech from 1963, called.. I have a dream. Several passages in the lyrics are direct quotations by Martin Luther King JR. Elvis recorded the song in June 1968, only a few months after Martin Luther King JR's assassination. First of all Lars let me thank you so much for taking the time to share this amazing Christmas dedi with us. Outstanding work as always on what can only be described as a breathtaking image. As always the effort you put into you're art is second to none, and I can't wait to go check out the duet. Keeping you in my prayers as the day for surgery approaches.

I just got in and will check out these lyrics a little later, but Lars, this is one beautiful image---santa is almost on e rocket, a rocket-sleigh; and he seems independent of the reindeer, who are watching almost in awe at the fun antics of his christmas scooter...The reindeer are beautifully rendered, with a big red nose for one of them, and a beautiful winter-scape with beautiful blue waters. And a deep blue sky, with a moon whispering in the distance, and a touch of the aurora borealis also whispering across the sky. Very gentle touches. (And the land is lit beautifully from some out-of-frame source.) Beautiful work, and magical! Lars, all godspeed to you this January, and, as is said above, a hopeful christmas hug, lots of them, for your surgery. It's wonderful that you've shared all these 'visions' with us during this time, this one is magical and beautiful. I wish you great peace and comfort this holiday, and strength too for the month to come. This is a beautiful gift for us all...
