And the beat goes on. Captured back on 10/18/09, at the beautiful Orchid Show held at the beautiful Huntington Botanical Center and Conservatory in beautiful San Marino, California. 2600; I never thought I would post that amount when I first started. Cheerybye.

Just got the ebot for this, but I knew another milestone was coming. Congratulations, Harry, on another 100 images! This has a most unusual feeling, almost as if the flowers are porcelain or glass. They're so ceramic-ish to me; I really love the 'presentational' feel of it, like the flowers and paintings were made by hand to make this miniature display. The orchids all bloom out at us, and the blue background makes the right contrast. And those paintings are just fascinating here---so unusual in your flower series (where you tend to have natural backgrounds, or architectural backgrounds). They add a feeling of "small chamber" to the piece. I've not looked, but I wonder if you've posted flowers for most of your other 100-milestones: It's a fitting image, regardless, since with all the subjects you tackle, your flowers are kind of a home-ground from the many journeys you take us on. Opulent and like a story book, an intimate portrait for your 2600th. Congratulations on such a broad and committed gallery, Harry, and I wish you many hundreds more...
