Description

Last year I posted photos of the Christmas tree my parents have, and once again my camera couldn't resist the allure of that magical tree. My father swore for years he'd never consider getting an artificial tree, but this one, as you can see, is the exception that makes such good use of what an artificial tree can do. This time, instead of capturing the whole tree I focused on individual ornaments and the wonderful play of that warm golden light. I didn't realize that I was capturing the light filtering through this ornament so well, but once I started looking at the pictures it really jumped out to me. Much as it could easily be a promotional shot for the makers of this ornament, it also just highlights what we love about the tree. Enjoy the New Year, everyone, have a safe and happy holiday, and may the next year be even better and more magical than this one!
