Description

I always seem to end up making abstracts and textures when I'm stuck, sometimes it helps kick the creative energies loose, sometimes it doesn't. We'll see what happens this time. This was made mostly in Adobe Photoshop, the lines and circles started out in Adobe Illustrator. I have no idea how many layers ended up in this, mostly because I'd make some, merge, cross it with other, and so on. Perhaps 20 or 30?

wonderful "tinkering," Mike. Looks like unknown symbols found in a ruined palace or temple.

I like the subtle blues behind the tan and brown shades. Wonderfully done!

However many layers, it's a really cool texture, Mike! It reminds me a lot of those microscopic views of microchips. Very high-tech looking, and great colors. Hope it does kick-start you, my friend!

Sounds like when I used to write novel manuscripts. When I just had a typewriter (remember those?) I had Revision 1, 2, 3, etc. Once I got a computer such terms became meaningless when a paragraph might be revised 10 or 30 times or a whole chapter 8 times. Hope this effort gets your muse going again. Sorry to have been quiet for so long.

Seriously, Michael? This is "tinkering?" Hmm..then you should definitely "tinker" more often, in my humble opinion. I really love the palette here, and the aged effect. It reminds me of something, yet I can't quite put my finger on...what. I'll think of it eventually. Or maybe not. I 'm losing synapsing neurons by the second. So happy to finally make my way back to your gallery for a peek! Hope you're well! :)
