Description

Between the days of miserable wind and rain we have had fine mild ones and there are still flowers everywhere if you bother to look. Those Calendula are amazing to see at this time of year. Beside the few I have put in this montage there are ones I have posted separately: early camelias, clematis 'Freckles' and 'Apple Blossom', Berberis, hydrangeas with their winter skeletons, a bit of heather, and my pansies which somehow hang on most of the winter. Also, there are a prodigious number of buds on the camelias, and some of the bulbs are showing the tips. Joy to come soon! I wish you all a healthy and creative 2014!

Wonderful collage of shots, you have a wonderful garden that I'm sure makes many envious.. a garden that cycles through the seasons with modest additions and transplanting each year. Hope the pond was okay during the heavy rains and never overflowed, some down here did just that and let's say the local cats had an early Christmas feast. Many people were saying cats were coming through the flaps with dead goldfish in their mouths. Happy New Year.

Another lovely collage at the end of the month. Oh my, Andrea, I can tell, because of your talented green thumb, that your vast garden, covering most of Bournemouth, is just as beautiful, bountiful, and lush as ever, even during these winter months. Have a Happy New Year!

It's such a surprise to me, every year, that you have flowers blooming in the middle of the winter. Your garden is such a joy to see! Thanks for doing this every month for us. :)

Your garden is a magical place, Andrea. It seems so huge, though I know for a fact that it isn't, but it's so beautifully conceived and laid out that the mind can't see the boundaries. Another beautiful monthly summary, and may the new year bring you and your furfriends a whole host of wonders.

I always look forward to seeing the monthly graphic journal of your garden. I always marvel that there is so much color through the winter. Ours is mostly white, some green, and shades of tans and browns and blacks, some muted reddish colors, some muted yellowish colors, you would have the proper names for all these colors. Mind you, I love the muted barely there colors of our winters, but I still you envy you for the bright colors in your winter garden. Not tell me, that little old man, or gnome, that must be one of your creations, right? May you have a wonderful, creative, healthy, and prosperous and happy New Year. May your pups be healthy and may they continue happily in their work with seniors for many years to come.
