I am 58 years young, live in Johannesburg, South Africa and I'm a true product of my continent. I love the bush, the animals, sunshine, sunsets - oh well, anything to do with nature. I am unmarried and have three sons - 37, 33 and 30 respectively and three granddaugters aged 12, 6 and 4 respectively and obviously the light of my life! Photography has always been a passion and I have loved it since I can remember. I was still using a SLR camera and only switched to digital only in late 2007! My other passion is travel and I have been lucky enough to have travelled fairly widely. There are however still many, many places I would love to visit "one day." I am truly an amateur photographer and do it merely as a hobby. So please be gentle when you comment on my work. :-) Thank you Piet, my dear friend, for convincing me to place my work on Renderosity. You owe me one! Hugs, Carin xx

Wow .. he looks at you directly. A superb shot!

Probably he showed aggression before to other vehicles and he realized that they're invincible :) Risky, but awesome shot!

What a look!

I agree, not the type of pussy cat to piss off hehehe!! Love this shot Carin. I like the flies all over him too, it tells us he was in the wild and not a cage.

Fantastic capture, Carin! :)

Splendid capture of the big guy, looking most irritated, and giving you the evil eye, after you coaxed him out of his peaceful repose, Dierbaar. "Nice kitty" didn't work in this instance, I fear. Good you used the 200mm lens, which gave you enough distance and time to run for your lives.

You will often see this look on the faces of Italian-American men from New York and New Jersey. It says "Hey, you want a piece of me?" Best to move in the opposite direction. Awesome capture. Next time use a 400mm lens!

Wow his face scare me too, you are so proud to shot this picture, thanks to share this beauty of nature! :0)

Very nice capture glad you were in the vehicle

A seriously intimidating look, that's for sure. But my house cats can look like this one second and the next be rolling on their backs for tummy rubs, so who knows for sure? But I guess I wouldn't try him...great capture!
whaleman
Ahhhh, I'll stay here if he'll stay there! I am duly intimidated!

A beauty of a shot Carin and he looks as if he won't take any prisoners.

I wonder if this is what my co-workers saw in the morning before I'd had my coffee! LOL! (I'm a bit grumpy before about 9:30 or 10:00 in the morning.) A fabulous capture!
West_coaster07

angora

Chaosphoto
it could be his "ok, take the damn picture and let me get back to sleep" look as well :)
danapommet
Those pin-point eyeballs would have intimidated me too! A super photo my friend!
