Description
I have captured this beauty in the Kgalagadi on my recent visit. The Glossy Starling is found all over Southern Africa and can be real pests in the game reserves at camps and picnic spots. I have personally seen one steal bacon right off the grill in the Kruger Park.
Because water is so scarce in the Kgalagadi, they have built little brick/concrete "dams" under each water tap to catch any spilled water for the birds and other critters moving around in the camp.
