You might spot me at Kirra Beach, the South-Eastern end of the Gold Coast, Australia,  if you like beach walking like myself... but there is more ! My son Jeff (*jif3d*, here at Rendo, it helps to advertise, ooops)... he took this pic of me in 2000, then manipulated it in photo-shop and it's still one of my favourites. Just very briefly about my past... *born in East Prussia; *grew up in Berlin, West Germany; *migrated to "OZ" in 1960, (not the Wizard of Oz) but...AUSTRALIA ! I guess  I was more into '2D' since early childhood, and thinking that my son Jeff may have inherited some of my artistic skills, because he translated them into '3D'. I am hooked on photography, since I discovered cameras... that's it in a nutshell. BTW - one of my fav.quotes.... ** I cannot give you the formula for success, but I can give you the formula for failure - which is trying to please everybody !**                                              that's a wrap... Cheers Brigitte.

Better known as the "Nifty Night Creepers"...LOL, just kidding ! So sleepless nights aren't all that bad, if you get to find garden surprises like these stunners ! Digging how they coexist with the Jacaranda's as well, probably stops them from snapping in the strong winds we been experiencing recently. ~Cheers~

Such an heavenly photo, my dear Brigitte, as for me it looks like heavenly appears on my screen. I can continue enjoy the sight, and the nighttime atmosphere. I have no idea whether they also smell, I'm curious about that, big sister. So good of you to read, and to use this clammy nights; of which now came an end, because you wrote about the rain. On the other hand, I heard on the news, it would again be extremely hot in Australia. If so, I hope you have another good book which is waiting for reading, by now and then going in your beautiful garden, who knows what you will discover this time, huh?

They look a little like daisies. This type of cactus I've never seen blooming..... You have a "green thumb"! Thank you, Brigitte! Wonderful presentation!!

Great capture, Brigitte!! I have heard the problems with heat and fires. I Denmark it often rains so if I could send some rain showers down under?..

hot summer nights? what's that like.... been in the minus 30's the past few days (and nights) and the groundhog says we're due for six more weeks of winter..... ah... who listens to rodents anyways..... beautiful capture.... maybe you should get your cabana boy to mix you up a cold drink.... ice tea and lemon?

I plan a long session in your gallery this week, but I'm kind of edging into it with a few pieces here and there. I remember this a bit after you posted this. (Yes, I've looked many times in your gallery.) This is a big tangle of nature, beautifully intertwined, and set off by stark dark and light contrasts. The light on the growths is intense, and hot. (Maybe a camera-flash? Or light from inside your home?) While the background is pure darkness. So you have an almost flat sight of the front plants, and a kind of layered bunch of plants behind---almost as in a print. It's wonderfully tangled and energetic; and it does speak of hot nights. It amazes me that you all get scalding summers down there, at the same time we get frigid winters---last winter, we had one of the coldest in memory. We DEFINITELY didn't have any sights like this! It's a big tangled beautiful tangle, and the light makes it come right at us...
