Description

It's been close to a month now, since my last post and I have been busy, busy, busy ever since - will explain a bit later ! So I thought, for each week I have missed, [with my regular contribution] - here are now 4 pix for the price of 1 ... PLEASE, DO ZOOM - it will be worth it ;P (pic 1) ... a couple of ants, discovered the fine sap of the Spiderlily, presently in bloom ... [obviously connoisseurs !] and just below (pic 3) ... there is also a white spider trying to hone in on the act ! (pic 2) ... you'll see simply Basil roots, left a bit too long in water ;( and usually added to salads ;)) but I liked the effect of the backlighting here ... (pic 4) ... an unusual marked beetle (?) - on the Basil, before I chopped it off - no, not the beetle! ;P *** Sorry, to all my friends here @ Renderosity, that I had slightly neglected - I will be flying the coop [Australia] so to speak and visiting Europe in July/August ... I am going to attend a big school-class-reunion in Germany, plus visiting relatives and a few friends (U.K. & Holland) ! ... and of course, I started to panic very early ;P Slowly getting things under control in my own headspace, passport, tickets, bookings, suitcase, dental work - I could go on and on - especially making shopping lists for everything and then leave them at home, when going shopping (?) ... obviously I don't need them - because I get home with more than I originally planned for ... anyhow, I am trying to post regularly again, not a promise, but I do miss my fix, of this addiction called photography ;)) Cheers Brigitte

Four outstanding pictures! I like the little Chlorobapta frontalis scarab beetle. A colorful little fellow. Are you going to see Sonia when you get to Germany?

Wonderful photos! When I read the ebot I actually expected to see 2 people! maybe nephew and niece, or neighbours! Hah! Wrong! The spider looks like a female Misumena vatia crabspider, I have lots of her relations in my garden, which you can meet when you visit. I am so looking forward to seeing you! (If it were me doing the travelling I should be in counselling by now, I get stressed going more than 30 miles from home nowadays.)

Very beautiful captures and work!!! Indeed beautiful! I understand what you are going through, my friend. We will be flying back to the States about the same time! I dread the long flights and the airports... But I am sure that when you will arrive in Germany and see family and friends it, will be a wonderful experience! We think often, fondly, of our years in Germany.

Beautiful collection of images. I'm not generally a big fan of bugs, but the beetle, in particular, is quite striking.

Oh Gitti, these are fantastic pictures. The light seems to shine through everything. OUTSTANDING!! The Beetle fascinated me the most with its perfect camouflage. (I hang with the comments back a bit. I have a lot of work) Hugs Julchen

And at the end of the row, here is your Holland-friend ♥! A very soft recording you have made of all this beautiful colours, dear BB*chen! Such a fantastic series of mystery-guests, and I love that Basil, and its 'roots'. Well, I would be nervous too, I guess sure by going so far away, and looking for your 'roots'. I hope you'll find many great roots-friends, and will have enough energy left to enjoy all your adventures as much as the flowers, plus visitors in your garden. As they having a lot of fun, and relax when this is needed. All by nature it selves. A pity we have to take so much stuff with us, when we travel. Wouldn't you want to be a butterfly this summer, meine Gitti? So easy then, so just fly away, and enjoy Brigitte! Toi Toi Toi!!!

Four fantastic photos in this collage. Beautiful colors on the beetles back, love the lighting on the basil roots, those crab spiders are deadly hunters and beautiful silhouette on the outside ant against the white background!
