Description

I liked the way the Bike came out in my last render --but I felt that I liked the results so much it deserved a render of its own. Danny agreed, and let me get a shot of him riding --sans helmet(He's very proud of his hair --and hates helmets) I had to resize the Harley because it was a bit too long. The materials were redone in Octane render so that I could get a more authentic chrome and metal looks for the bike. All in all I think it came out great. I'm going to do this one again I think when I figure out how to get a good night sky with stars.

I've heard good things about Octane too (mostly from commenters here). Looks like I'll need to save some money for that!

The only thing negative I have to say about Octane is that there's a lack of documentation on how to use it properly. The manual they have is great for the application itself, but the documentation for the plugins for DAZ is not very helpful. A lot of things I'm just picking up as I go --but a lot of 3D stuff seems to be like that. If they were to give a class --I'd sign up for it in a heart beat. The cool thing is that I bought it for DAZ --when I wanted to use it with Cinema 4d, all I had to do was buy the plugin license for C4D which was like 139$ instead of purchasing a whole nother edition for C4D. I'm going to get the license for Poser pretty soon too. Just count on purchasing another video card after you get it --having two video cards allows me to render in a 10-15 minutes for a full image, but I can get a workable idea of what I need to change in two minutes with simple lighting. The more video computing power you have, the faster the render. I have two video cards right now, but I plan on replacing my older card with the same version I bought for Octane. I may buy a third later but I'm trying not to go overboard on the hardware. It's really enhanced my workflow.
