Description
this are very busy freight line tracks and Amtrak uses the same rails passing by at 60-70 miles per hour. years ago I posted a view of the rails and how they are not very straight from all the heavy freight trains. there is a transfer yard for new pickups and cars. hundreds pass through each week. almost as fast as they are unloaded, they leave on transport trucks to the dealers 24 hours a day

Excellent capture and point.

love these train pics! we don't have any working tracks close to us, but when the conditions are right, i can hear them blowing their horns .. and rolling down the tracks .. most of the tracks are pulled out around here, and have become walking trails, dog walking trails, and so on.

Riding those rails must feel like being on a carnaval ride!

Great shot! I always love to see locomotives still wearing old "fallen flag" colors. It'll be a sad day when the last of them has finally been repainted.

Great shot of this train - I love train photos! Those tracks do look a little crooked - I'm not sure I'd be comfortable hitting that at 70 mph..

From where I live I can hear trains in the distance late at night when all is quiet, its a nice sound to listen to.

A very powerful engine and you can tell which train cars are carrying autos!
