My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!
If I’m missing from Renderosity from time to time, I’m busy having fun elsewhere.
Thanks for your interest in my work, and for stopping by to learn more about me!

When your photo popped into view I thought "I wonder how many asses have sat down on...", and then I scrolled down and read your comment. Nice work, Tara.

alwaysonmymind wondered how many asses have sat in these pews. I guess it depends on how many politicians attended church. A very nice image of these old wooden benches. There use brings a wonderful polished sheen to the wood over time that I find very attractive. Mission furniture is usually hand made by those living there so it is a good bet these were made by the brothers or workers at the mission.

Beautiful to behold, brutal on the backside. I guessed the subject matter by the title in the ebot, but was still astonished by the superb photo.

Beautiful woodwork on those and very cool capture. I can imagine the rest of the wood art in that building.

I would find it interesting to know some of the stories and prayers those old benches have heard. Thanks for sharing this glimpse of hand and heart made workmanship.

Hand carved, obviously - the care and love put into these pews is evident. This is really lovely, Tara - the warm tones of the wood give this such a peaceful and meditative feel. So beautiful..

You have such a way with wooden subjects; your eye for light seems to polish the surfaces with love and make them even more beautiful. This is outstanding!
