My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Excellent detail ,dear Tara. An old police car ?????? I dont know. Have a nice week!

Initially I thought it said Feral, which made my mind race with ideas about a "feral" vehicle out there all alone, getting by on its own...but that idea was not to be! Great shot and suitably mysterious!

My sight is at its worst first thing and when I looked at this I initially saw a space scene, "What is Tara up to now?", I thought. But on closer inspection I see this superb composition for what it is: another classic taking of the mundane and creating the etraordinary. Wonderful!

Like durleybeachbum, my first impression was also of a space scene. Then I cleaned my glasses... :o) Lovely composition and juxtaposition of textures... your speciality!

A bullet hole through the headlight? Maybe it was driven by G-Men. Terrific close up detail.

You didn't tell us this was a truck, Tara. The Internet has a history of the Federal Motor Truck Company. They were in business from 1910-1959. The mad librarian strikes again!

This is a wonderful shot, Tara! Lovely lines, and textures, but even more it has a peaceful, and yet somewhat sad mood. This poor old derelict slowly rusting away - and the final insult of having its headlight broken out. This says so much in one elegant image. Brilliant!

Rust, cracked glass, reflections all combine to form a beautiful found abstract. I've told you this before, but it bears repeating - you have a gift for seeing this kind of thing that very few others would even notice...

I really love that picture. Excellent.
