Description

While on safari one often forget to look out for the "Little Five". The Kgalagadi is renowned for the smaller animals which are equally interesting. This is daddy and baby Four-Striped mice. They literally have four dark stripes across their backs. They are actually nocturnal animals but I was lucky enough to catch them one early morning on a drive. The light was sadly behind them so I really battled to get some balance in the image. Thank you for visiting and for your very welcome comments and favs on my last upload "Kalahari Storm". Carin xx

Fine shot with great detail. They're cute in the wild, but pests when they invade your home. Our two cats have caught three mice in our house in the last couple of days...

First time I ever heard of or seen these particular kind of rodents, most unique with their stance, and, of course, the four stripes. Stellar compo and lighting in this capture, Carin.

An extraordinary capture! Don't you know, they are racing strips. They are fast little buggers. Good dad, showing the kid how to make it in the world.
