Description
Captured 1/25/14, about a half mile from my digs.
One of 37 pics I took while walking briskly to an area over a mile away that was relatively clear of obstructive trees, wires and power poles, in order to photograph this aerial phenomena.
A ZOOM is definitely in order.

I can't believe I didn't comment on this: It's beautiful. You got the clouds weighing down on the city, pressing down. Fine capture. And they light up---from the sun---right over that house. Another fine composition point. Yes, I'm sure it's hard to find areas in LA without too many "intrusions" (telephone poles, signs, etc): This gives us a few simple rooftops and some trees and a telephone pole---which fits the milieu perfectly. (And a tv antenna, which also fits.) Considering how clouds always change, you got a fine moment here---poised perfectly over the house with the sun glaring through. It's like a big sheet of bulgy cotton. Very sweeping capture. And oddly serene...
