Description
Photo taken above Engelberg, Switzerland in August 2013. Three Swiss alpine marmots. I almost missed seeing them they blended into the rocks so well.

I love marmots! Here in Colorado you have to climb high to see them draped over the rocks to bask. We call them "melted Marmots" :)

Yes, these guys were up pretty high as well. They were over hallfway up to the top of Mount Titlis, which is the highest peak near Engelberg.

Gosh! I didnt see them first, even in full size, but read your explanation, looked up the name and realized it was a complete different photo than I saw first.Now I see the animals. I thought about old dry wood vs rocks, LOL ! Awesome photo :)
