Description
Sorry I haven't been around for a few days... I have wanted to make my own characters for a long time and have tried and failed a few times in the past. But after seeing Blacksmith3d had joined Renderosity I had to give it a try.
I can only focus on one thing at a time or I get totally confused, so I have given my time to beginning to try to learn Blacksmith3d. I have to say I was intimidated at first because it is totally new to me, but after watching and listening to the tutorials I am thinking it probably is the easiest modeling program I've ever tried.
This is my first attempt... It isn't great, it is only the first try and I didn't spend a great deal of time on it. Right now I am learning what the tools all do and how to use them properly.
I hope you will forgive me for not commenting on a lot of your recent work... but this is something I've wanted to learn for a very, very long time.
I put the original photo (a free resource image I found on the net) on the left and the poser/blacksmith3d image on the right.
Thanks for taking a look and for any comments you might choose to leave.

I think you did very well.. eyes and nose are very close to the original, lips are very slightly wider on the lower one in the sculpted version, but still quite pleasing. I think what I spotted as the most different was the proportion of the chin. the right is not quite as long, and seems to have more of an indentation. I hope this helps! I love getting constructive critique and I Hope you find mine so. Have fun learning Blacksmith!

Looks really good. I am impressed. A lot of natural talent demonstrated here getting the model that good on a first go.
