Description

Melkhin..(Zoom is a must here!!) Merrick: (low voice) I've just been here for under two weeks but this Melkhin.. Marsharpiel: What about him?.. Merrick: He claims to come from the same area like me, Aran and have been in the military almost samme time as I, until Alarik dissolved many regiments there.. Marsharpiel: And?.. Merrick: His dialect fits fine with the eastern Aran area but what he says about regiments and officers, fits not quite to what I know..I served five years there.. Marsharpiel: Listen, a lot of the rangers here have a past, nobody asks if they do as told and fight for and help the others..That's the important thing, all here have their secrets..Not many would be here at all if the could do otherwise..because not many rangers get very old. Keeping law and order in the huge northern territories the whole year around is dangerous business..and Melkhin is just one, they often come and go, if they find something better.. Merrick: ..I think of the safety for Iphis, the princess..If so many don't want her on the throne of Korr?.. Marsharpiel: No human can fool an elven.. Merrick:.. Hm..sharp senses, like a dog and eyes like an eagle or a cat..Dogs are told to be able to smell fear, aggresion...reading faces....what am I thinking of now?.. Marsharpiel: Hmmmr...(Shakes her head) Merrick: ..Want to know a secret?..I'm no elven but I can anyway read an elven face..(smiles) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Another way trying to introduce one more member of Nigthshade's rangers. Nobody don't really pay attention to Melkhin, he is silent, do what to do, easy to forget he is around, except in crises and so. Melkhin is not an ice cold weirdo like Jago but appears rather common, sticking a bit out from the rest of rangers. So Merrick asks himself: What is this guy Melkhin doing here? There are still a couple more of characters in this band of brothers and sisters, and I'm sure one of them will surprise you even more than the origin of my name here, Rhanagaz!
